OLD WORDS FOR MODERN LIVING

English is an evolving language. Words come in and out of fashion, some fall out of usage and every year the OED adds new words as well as new or revised usages, compounds and tenses for words already in use. Sometimes words reappear that although forgotten are not completely gone and fit neatly into something we see in modern life.
